Warsaw, Poland: retail sales strong in September
Retail sales rose 11.6% year on year in September after a 7.7% gain in August, on a monthly rise of 1.8%, the statistics office GUS said. The PAP analyst survey had shown consensus expectations for 11.8% growth on a 2.7% monthly increase.
In real terms, September retail sales rose 8.3% y/y (vs. 3.9% in August), on a 1.6% m/m gain, GUS said. (Warsaw Voice Newspaper)
